The vascular surgery team is coordinated by Prof. Amin Bahnini, chief of surgery department for the Hopital Americaine Paris. He is one of the few vascular surgeons with studies both in France and in the USA (Houston Texas).
He operates on a wide pathology like thoracic abdominal aneurysm by classical or endo-vascular surgery, aneurysms, carotid arteries, hybrid lower limb arterial reconstruction, giving solution to many hopeless patients in Bucharest.
He started coming to Romania in 2007 when he operated in a team on a 77 years old patient with a complex malformation on her arm that had been suggested for amputation. He also operated on a carotid artery, a popliteal artery extension.
